Abstract

This paper analyses in a present-day manner the Digital Economy (DE) that touches a broad range of economic activities. The DE includes information and knowledge in a digital format, as the main production factor, computing and networking as an important communication and work space, and the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a productivity growth facilitator. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing based on Fog and Edge Computing, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and other important electronic technologies are used to collect, store, analyze, and share information digitally and affirm all interactions and decisions. These new ICTs enable modern economic activities to be more flexible and agile. Digital Economy is growing fast in volume and semantic, due the progress of applied Artificial Intelligence Systems.
