Abstract

The contemporary reality shows complexity, dynamism and the need for change. Between these outlines there can be inscribed the rural communities trying to revitalize themselves economically and socially. Source of culture, civilization, traditions and customs, the Romanian village lacks consistency of sustainable development which would confer stability and which would enable it to keep pace with current upgrades. In this context, the permanent oscillation between tradition and modernism requires the activation of the Romanian village and its orientation towards activities that allow development and economic and social sustainability.
