Abstract

Occupational and work guidance from a transformative experience in vulnerable communities offers a new perspective for students in their transition from the school world to the world of work. When adopting this perspective, significant challenges arise, such as lack of resources, resistance to change, poor coordination between different educational agents and the diversity of student needs. However, in the long term, occupational and career guidance can offer benefits such as greater return potential, the ability to take full advantage of the benefits of compound interest, fewer expenses, and reduced investment risk. These benefits can contribute to the development of more solid life projects and more informed decision-making by students
