Effects Of Boreout And Burnout On Workers' Well-Being

This research is relevant in the legal field, since the pandemic altered the social reality and forced countries such as Ecuador to abruptly implement teleworking, a modality already foreseen in its regulations. This change generated psychological effects on workers, such as burnout and boreout, which affect their productivity. The study, with a qualitative approach and hermeneutic and inductive methods, analyzes the legal consequences of these syndromes. It is concluded that, although different, both can coexist. Boreout is related to boredom and underexertion, while burnout reflects extreme exhaustion caused by overwork, harassment at work or other stressful situations in the work environment
