Abstract

The study begins with a general formulation of society, globalization and market issues. It continues with a historical review of the globalization waves throughout the centuries. Then it looks for an answer to three major questions concerning globalization (its causes, character and prospects) and finishes with an analysis of the abuses with globalization, resulting in the world (not only financial-economic) crisis of 2008.
