Abstract

Като социално животно човекът проявява изключителна склонност към имитация, което е заложeно в животинското у него, но в по-голяма степен в културното. Затова текстът прави кратък обзор на теорията за мемите на Р. Докинс, за да я приложи към съвременната пазарна ситуация и поспециално върху търговските марки. Дадени са примери с влиятелни брандове като Apple, Doc Martens и други, за да се изгради аргументация в полза на тезата, че марките по принцип са едни от най-силните меми, срещани в културата и понастоящем се възползват във висока степен от интензивната глобална комуникация чрез интернет. Определени идеи, поведение и консумативни практики са силно трансферируеми поне в рамките на определите субкултурни мрежи, стига да има налице достатъчно силен задвижващ мема механизъм.
