Abstract

Както показа световната финансова криза от 2007 година, съвременните банки са от ключово значение за стабилността на финансовия сектор и икономиката като цяло. Настоящето изследване си поставя за цел да представи пред академичната общност и банковата практика у нас разработената методика на системата за оценка на устойчивото развитие на банковия сектор АЛЕР(тс), както и да оцени степента на нейната приложимост на база извършен анализ на реални данни. В процеса на изследването се защитава тезата, че наличието на независима и отворена рейтингова система за оценка на банковия сектор способства за повишаване на неговата стабилност и конкурентоспособност.
