Синхронизация На Бизнес Циклите На България Спрямо Страните От Еврозоната

Abstract

Настоящата разработка изучава равнището на икономическа конверген- ция в ЕС и по конкретно – в рамките на Еврозоната. Основната цел на статията е да се оцени степента на синхронизация между флуктоациите на бизнес циклите в България и отделните държави от Еврозоната. Изследването се базира на данни от периода 1995 – 2009 година, разделени на два подпериода: 1995 – 2001 и 2002 – 2009 година. Бизнес циклите са идентифицирани чрез два алтернативни статистически метода – филтър на Бакстър-Кинг и филтър на Ходжрик-Прескът. Емпиричните резултати разкриват, че през периода 1995 – 2001 България не отговаря на изискванията за оптимална валутна зона спрямо никоя от страните в Еврозоната, което вероятно е предизвикало съществени негативни ефекти от въвеждането на валутния борд през 1997 година. По отношение на втория подпериод е установено, че ефектите от въвеждането на еврото би имало основно положителни ефекти за България, поради високата степен на синхронизация на бизнес цикъла спрямо страните от Еврозоната.
