Abstract

As artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the contours of work, the demand for soft skills—empathy, adaptability, ethical reasoning, and intercultural fluency—has intensified. While machines increasingly handle technical and repetitive tasks, it is human capabilities that ensure resilience, trust, and innovation. Drawing on peer-reviewed literature, leadership insights, and my own experience in project control management and strategic talent development, this article argues that soft skills are not peripheral but central to thriving in AI-integrated environments. I advocate for a recalibration of leadership and education frameworks to embed these competencies as strategic enablers of sustainable progress.
