Abstract
Trans-Abstract: In the textile industry, the huge consumption of resources and enormous environmental pollution are just some of the problem areas of sustainability that currently need to be addressed. At the same time, companies can optimise their corporate efficiency and transparency by using advanced digital technologies in their production and supply chain processes. However, the question of how sustainability and digitalisation are strategically integrated and linked in textile companies has been insufficiently researched so far. Therefore, data from 56 participants of German textile companies was analysed with the help of a digital survey. This article shows the increasing importance of digitalisation and sustainability in the textile industry and emphasises the need to use the synergies of both areas to drive the transformation of the industry.
