Abstract

A thorough and systematic analysis of future developments is an essential activity for corporations acting in complex and highly dynamic market environments. Extant research on corporate foresight has focussed on large enterprises and on methods and tools. -- We present a study on corporate foresight which takes into account the particularities of small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition to methods and tools, we analyze how corporations organize corporate foresight and set up processes and we investigate the impact of organizational culture on foresight activities. The aim is to identify potential factors of success.
