Abstract

Trans-Abstract: While management research is often criticized for not sufficiently addressing practical or socially relevant issues, it has also been noted that business practice often does not adequately consider scientific findings. This leads to a perceived gap between academia and practical applications. This article discusses potential underlying causes for this phenomenon. In addition, considerations for bringing science and practice closer together are presented.
