Abstract

This study aims to examine various aspects of the management of the Amil Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah Institution (Lazis) in Indonesia, especially related to regulations, organizational governance, fund management systems, and challenges in their implementation, in order to optimize the collection and distribution of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah funds to improve community welfare and support sustainable social and economic development. Methods: This study uses a literature review approach and descriptive-qualitative analysis of various aspects of Lazis' management, including applicable regulations, organizational governance practices, and fund management systems implemented in Indonesia. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of Lazis' management is greatly influenced by the factors of transparency, accountability, and human resource capacity. In addition, cooperation with various stakeholders is the key to success in distributing zakat on target. This research also provides strategic recommendations to improve the quality of Lazis' management.
