Abstract

Zakat and waqf are instruments of Islamic philanthropy that have great potential to support the social and economic development of the people. However, its management often faces challenges such as lack of transparency, efficiency, and technology utilization. This research aims to analyze the optimization of zakat and waqf through a modern Islamic philanthropic management approach that integrates the principles of transparency, accountability, and digital technology. Using qualitative methods based on literature review and best practice analysis of Islamic philanthropic institutions, the study found that the implementation of modern management systems such as digital platforms, data-driven reporting, and social marketing strategies can increase the efficiency and impact of Islamic philanthropy. The results of this research are expected to be a guide for zakat and waqf managers to increase public trust and expand social benefits.
