Analisis Penerapan Akad Rahn Di Pt. Pegadaian Unit Pelayanan Syariah Simpang Mayang Kota Jambi

Abstract

Pegadaian Syariah merupakan salah satu bentuk lembaga keuangan non-bank yang menawarkan solusi pembiayaan mikro secara cepat, mudah, dan sesuai prinsip- prinsip syariah, khususnya melalui produk rahn emas. Produk ini memungkinkan masyarakat memperoleh dana dengan jaminan emas tanpa unsur riba, namun jumlah nasabah di Unit Pelayanan Syariah (UPS) Simpang Mayang Kota Jambi mengalami fluktuasi pada periode 2019–2023. Kondisi ini menunjukkan adanya kendala baik dari aspek internal, seperti strategi pemasaran dan sosialisasi, maupun eksternal berupa persaingan dengan lembaga keuangan lain dan rendahnya literasi masyarakat terhadap ekonomi syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan gadai emas di UPS Simpang Mayang serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian menelaah penerapan akad qard, rahn, dan ijarah serta strategi pemasaran yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gadai emas pada dasarnya telah sesuai dengan fatwa DSN-MUI, namun tantangan utama masih terletak pada kurangnya edukasi, keterbatasan promosi, dan persaingan pasar. Temuan ini diharapkan memberi kontribusi dalam pengembangan layanan keuangan syariah yang lebih inklusif, meningkatkan daya saing Pegadaian Syariah, serta memperkuat literasi masyarakat terhadap prinsip ekonomi Islam.
