On the issue of information openness of government

Abstract

The article presents the results of the evaluation of information transparency of official websites of the Siberian Federal District authorities. Issues of information security of the state and municipal management have a special place in the management. Computerization of government is an essential technological tool that provides timely processing of requests and contribute to the development and informed decision-making. In accordance with applicable law, federal state authorities should implement the principles of openness. Systematic monitoring of the official websites of the authorities is conducted to assess their information openness. Evaluation is carried out by the Institute of Development of Freedom of Information. Information transparency of official websites authorities assessed according to the criteria «initial attendance», «advanced presence», «online presence», «transactional presence» and «web presence».
