Trends in the film showcase market of the Russian Federation

Abstract

The institutional characteristics ofthe 10 largest enterprises in terms of revenue and value of assets on the balance sheet to perform movies functions in the Russian Federation are considered. The conclusion is made about market concentration processes through the creation of a network of cinemas. For the period 2015-2019, a quantitative seasonal wave was identified and estimated in the dynamics of the change in the RBEI attendance index. Quantitative increase of seasonality assessment by the end ofthe study period was revealed. At the same time, for other movies of the Russian Federation that are not included in the RBEI index, a seasonal wave of changes in the attendance index with a seasonality coefficient for 2015-2017 - 19.6%, for 2016-2018 - 21.3% and2017-2019 - 26.2%.
