Abstract
Los accidentes laborales son eventos inesperados durante la jornada laboral. Este estudio analiza su ocurrencia en personal docente y administrativo de una universidad pública nicaragüense. Investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva y retrospectiva. Se utilizaron datos del INSS (2021–2023) de 245 trabajadores, procesados con SPSS v25. En 2021 hubo 92 accidentes (37.6%), en 2022 fueron 89 (36.3%) y en 2023 disminuyeron a 64 (26.1%). El 78% de los casos afectó a personal administrativo y el 22% a docentes. Las lesiones más comunes se localizaron en miembros inferiores (39.9%), superiores (23.6%) y cara (10.8%). El 39.6% de los accidentes fueron leves, con subsidios de 1 a 10 días. A pesar de la reducción anual, persisten patrones estacionales. Los administrativos presentan mayor riesgo, especialmente por caídas y golpes. Se requiere implementar estrategias preventivas focalizadas y proactivas para reducir la incidencia de accidentes laborales.
