Abstract

Introducción: La gestión de seguridad e higiene laboral requiere medir el desempeño con indicadores confiables; sin embargo, muchas organizaciones privilegian métricas reactivas, limitando la prevención y la mejora continua. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo y propositivo basado en análisis documental de literatura científica y normativa (p. ej., ISO 45001) mediante una matriz de sistematización. Con ello se definieron criterios de selección (pertinencia, confiabilidad, claridad y factibilidad) y se estructuró un framework de KPI por niveles estratégico, táctico y operativo, alineado al ciclo PHVA. Resultados: El framework integra indicadores reactivos y proactivos y establece lineamientos para su definición, recolección, análisis e interpretación, facilitando el monitoreo continuo, la identificación temprana de riesgos y la alineación entre objetivos de SST y metas organizacionales. Discusión: La propuesta fortalece la toma de decisiones basada en evidencia y favorece una cultura preventiva al priorizar indicadores proactivos y la trazabilidad de datos. Conclusiones: Un framework estructurado de KPI mejora la capacidad de control y aprendizaje organizacional en seguridad e higiene y es adaptable a distintos contextos, recomendándose su validación empírica en organizaciones para evaluar su impacto.
