Abstract

El presente artículo de investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el uso Tecnologías para el Empoderamiento y la Participación (TEP) como herramienta para mejorar la educación chilena, a través de una investigación cuantitativa, no experimental de tipo básica y descriptiva, en la cual se aplicó un instrumento tipo cuestionario a 120 docentes universitarios de modalidad virtual, para dar respuesta al objetivo de investigación. Como resultado se obtuvo que los Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje (EVA) son las herramientas más utilizadas por los docentes (90%), seguidos por el uso de herramientas digitales y espacios en la web (80%). Sin embargo, un porcentaje significativo (60%) reporta dificultades para implementar las TEP, principalmente debido a la falta de formación en su uso y la insuficiencia de recursos tecnológicos. Lo que permite concluir que la TEP deben estar basadas en el trabajo colaborativo para apoyar a los docentes menos aventajados, deben promover la producción de material educativo dinámico y el empleo de espacio digitales amigables como herramientas web de enseñanza.
