Vulnerabilidad Interseccional Invisibilizada: Violencia Sexual y Discapacidad

Abstract

La vulnerabilidad no es una característica intrínseca de las personas con discapacidad, pero la intersección de diferentes variables define el nivel de vulnerabilidad y riesgo de personas con discapacidad de sufrir algún tipo de violencia y violencia sexual en específicos. El presente artículo se basa en la teoría de la interseccionalidad para presentar un análisis teórico conceptual como estos variables externos sitúan a las personas con discapacidad fuera de lo normal y les impide gozar de su estatus como persona. La ocurrencia simultanea de variables de género, el adultocentrismo, el sistema capitalista, el acceso a la educación, servicios de salud, mercado laboral, la independencia emocional y económica, contextos interculturales, crea una nueva realidad que enfrentan las personas con discapacidad, que incide en el nivel de vulnerabilidad ante la posibilidad de sufrir algún tipo de violencia. Reforzando la visión social se concluye que el contexto excluyente discapacita y deshumaniza a las personas con discapacidad.
