Impacto en salud derivado del ruido generado en aeródromos: Un reto creciente

Abstract

Los aeropuertos son grandes emisores de contaminación acústica, lo que afecta tanto a los trabajadores como a las comunidades cercanas. Dado su papel crucial en la economía global, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica para analizar los efectos del ruido en la salud de los empleados, especialmente los técnicos de pista. El objetivo fue identificar los impactos fisiológicos y psicosociales de la exposición prolongada al ruido. La revisión abarcó 30 estudios entre informes institucionales y artículos académicos, utilizando motores de búsqueda como EBSCO y Scielo, y seleccionando investigaciones publicadas en los últimos 20 años. Se excluyeron tesis y estudios anteriores a dos décadas. El principal riesgo encontrado fue la pérdida auditiva por exposición a ruidos superiores a 85dB, aunque también se identificaron problemas de salud como estrés, ansiedad, dificultades de concentración y riesgos cardiovasculares, relacionados con la exposición prolongada al ruido. Se concluye que es crucial implementar programas de salud preventiva, no solo acústica, sino también psicológica y cardiovascular para los trabajadores. En este sentido, se recomienda diseñar estrategias de mitigación del ruido en zonas urbanas cercanas a aeropuertos.
