Desafíos y estrategias para superar la brecha digital en entornos universitarios: una revisión sistemática

Abstract

En estos tiempos, la educación superior enfrenta el desafío de la brecha digital, exacerbada por la pandemia de COVID-19, lo que ha puesto de manifiesto la urgencia de integrar eficazmente las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Este artículo se propone identificar exhaustivamente las causas y manifestaciones de la brecha digital en entornos universitarios para diseñar estrategias que promuevan la equidad educativa. A través de una revisión sistemática siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA, se analizaron estudios relevantes entre 2013 y 2024, utilizando bases de datos como Web of Science, Scopus y Scielo. Los resultados destacan la conectividad, la percepción de las TIC y las competencias digitales entre docentes y padres como factores críticos que contribuyen a la brecha digital. La conclusión más relevante es la necesidad de abordar esta brecha no solo mejorando el acceso y la infraestructura tecnológica sino también fomentando las habilidades digitales, adaptando las estrategias a los contextos específicos de cada institución para asegurar una educación superior más inclusiva y equitativa.
