Abstract

This article presents the development of a web platform for the efficient management of academic events in university educational institutions (UIE), based on the RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology. The proposal responds to the needs of UIEs to modernize educational processes, where the constant updating and training of teachers and graduates requires tools that facilitate collaborative lectures, access to specialized information and intercultural interaction. The RAD methodology suggests a process consisting of four phases: planning, analysis, design and construction. These phases are iterative since there is constant feedback, the necessary human and material resources are determined, risks are anticipated and a schedule is established. This includes the selection of functional and non-functional aspects during the analysis that are incorporated and tested in the construction phase. The results show a functional prototype that is able to meet the criteria of efficiency and usability, optimizing the management of process automation, real-time tracking of participants and events, and centralized access to academic materials, immediate feedback, database management and implementation of QR (Quick Response) codes and security, ensuring effective monitoring of events
