Interculturality: Debates and Trends in the Latin American Context

Abstract

This theoretical review article aims to present some debates and trends in interculturality in the Latin American context in the last seven years. The methodology used is based on the interpretive-hermeneutic paradigm from a qualitative approach. The method used was documentary analysis, and the selected technique was a bibliographic review. In the results obtained, it was found that some trending topics on interculturality focus on: Intercultural education in the Latin American context, higher education, migration processes and good living. In conclusion, it is concluded that interculturality in Latin America proposes challenges and challenges that compromise education as an indispensable element to provide new epistemological perspectives and paths that enhance forms of relationship and coexistence between subjects, reflected in respect for diversity and otherness.
