Management Strategies for Developing Research Skills Among Teachers at Private Educational Institutions in Venezuela

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe the types of managerial strategies used to develop research skills among instructors from educational institutions. A positivist paradigm with a humanistic approach was employed, as well as a quantitative methodology. A survey was administered to 169 instructors from three private educational institutions. The results revealed that the most frequently used strategies by educational managers were: continuous education, postgraduate studies, strategic planning, and teamwork. With a rate of 4.33, the mean value interpretation scale suggests that these strategies are highly prevalent. This finding suggests the continuation and promotion of these strategies for fostering research skills in general secondary educational institutions in Venezuela.
