Abstract

The article examines the features of business processes in an international environment. It was found that among all types of enterprise activities in an international environment, export and import are the most common among enterprises. It is proved that export and import, given the peculiarities of their implementation, are business processes that occur in an international environment. The main characteristics of the development of business processes of engineering enterprises in Ukraine are identified. Problems with the correct assessment of the effectiveness of business processes are identified. The features of business processes of four engineering enterprises of Vinnytsia region are analyzed in detail and the advantages and disadvantages of their activities that determine the possibilities of functioning in an international environment are identified. The analysis revealed that each year the essence, number and cost of business processes of enterprises in the international environment changed – enterprises entered new markets, changed suppliers, increased the number of contracts or reduced their cost, which indicates the active activity of enterprises in the international environment. It is proven that the previous positive experience of foreign economic activity allowed two enterprises to maintain and successfully continue their activities in the international environment despite the outbreak of the war. It was found that the development of modern business processes of machine-building enterprises is based on the growth of dependence of production on imports of components, tools, equipment and software; increased competition with imported machinebuilding products; a decrease in the volume of sales for export of high-tech equipment and the predominance of exports to post-Soviet countries, which additionally indicates the low technological feasibility of exported units. The main conditions and factors of the development of business processes of each enterprise in the international environment in 2018-2022 are described in detail and a number of changes that have occurred at enterprises since the outbreak of the war are identified. Positive examples of the construction of new machine-building enterprises in Vinnytsia have been identified, which proves the prospects for the development of the industry in the future, and accordingly, their further activity in the international environment
