La agricultura y la industria en el crecimiento economico portugues (1850–1913)

Abstract

Gracias al trabajo de un conjunto de historiadores económicos que recientemente se han preocupado en cazar algunas de las liebres levantadas por las anteriores generaciones de estudiosos, esta última década ha alimentado generosamente nuestro conocimiento de la economía portuguesa del siglo pasado. Un arma que se ha mostrado eficaz en esta cacería, según la perspectiva del presente artículo, es la que tiene como punto de mira la cuantificación del crecimiento de las principales variables macroeconómicas y, por consiguiente, la evaluación de las principales transformaciones estructurales de la economía.
