El desarrollo económico en la Europa del Sur

Abstract

El propòsito de este encuentro fue, en palabras de los organizadores, poner en contacto a economistas e historiadores interesados en el desarrollo económico a largo plazo de estos tres países a fin de promover un enfoque comparativo en el estudio de la Historia Económica de la Europa del Sur. Esta iniciativa se vio apoyada por dos circunstancias: el inminente ingreso de España y Portugal en la CEE, así como, desde otra perspectiva, la preocupación de la Asociación Internacional de Historia Económica por temas tales como crecimiento y productividad en las economías europeas.
