Abstract

PANI is one of the important types of conducting polymers. It is used in the preparation of materials which are environment friendly and stable thermally. These find their applications in materials used for making solar cells, shields for electromagnets, coatings of antistatic nature, optics which are having non linear nature, various types of sensors as well as batteries, electrochromic applications, memory devices and many others. present work Various types of Oxidant as Ammonium Per Sulphate (APS), Potassium Di Chromate (PDC), oxalic acid (OA) were used to carry out polymerization of aniline using its aqueous solution. It was studied as to how these Oxidant Effect on crystallinity of PAN.
