Determinantes de la banca extranjera en España. Un análisis por país de origen

Abstract

Este trabajo estudia los determinantes de la implantación de la Banca Extranjera en España, distinguiendo la forma de instalación elegida, Filiales y/o Sucursales, y el efecto de la crisis, durante el período 2000 a 2015. Los datos son analizados mediante Datos de Panel. Los resultados indican que las variables relacionadas con el grado de integración entre países son las más determinantes. Países de origen estables se relacionan con la forma jurídica de Filiales y el comercio exterior bilateral no resulta significativo para la instalación de Sucursales. La crisis económica incide negativamente en el número de Oficinas de Filiales, y positivamente en el de Oficinas de Sucursales y en el número de Entidades de BE instaladas en España.
