The implementation of investment opportunities, increase of investment volumes and rational use of invested funds are the most vital tasks in Ukraine, which determine the topicality of the research. The article considers the investment component as a crucial factor providing the necessary level of financial stability of the state. The state of investment security is analyzed on the basis of specific indicators. The investment security indicators are calculated in dynamics. The analysis of indicator values in recent years has been carried out. Quantitative and qualitative factors of investment security of the state have been assessed. It is concluded that the values of most investment security indicators are below the critical value, which, according to the security theory, indicates the realization of threatening processes in the economy. The article highlights the directions for increasing investment attractiveness. First of all, this should be a guarantee of privatization transparency, reducing investment tax burden and economic risks
