Abstract

The widespread use of new technologies and innovative solutions in economic activity in recent years, as well as the enhanced integration of technological progress with network technologies, determine new trends in the global economic system, resulting in the formation of new principles of economic relations in the digital economy. The transformations that are taking place at both the macro and micro levels are not only related to technological breakthroughs of global Internet giants such as Google or Amazon, but also find their place in the business processes of medium and small enterprises around the world. Another consequence of the digitalization of economic relations is the growing role of the consumer, who gets the opportunity to interact directly with producers of goods and services, while influencing the instant modification of the goods he wants to buy online. However, the realization of such opportunities in the digital economy also requires the global connection of consumers to its technical elements, which provide them with such interaction. The article considers the modern specifics of the application of the Industrial Internet of Things in the business processes of economic entities in various fields. It is determined that if at the beginning the use of IIoT was typical only for service companies that provided various services to their customers and transformed this process, completely moving it to the Internet, now IIoT is widespread in production processes. However, there are objective difficulties with the integration of automated production management systems and modern networking systems, as this may require reorganization of the production process. It has been researched that ensuring the efficiency of business processes with the use of the Industrial Internet of Things is possible only with the use of effective channels and communication methods that ensure the interaction of devices on the basis of which the business process operates. Thus, the innovative solutions that are implemented together with the Industrial Internet of Things, contribute to the dynamic development of enterprises that implement these systems in their activities and join the global network of digital economy
