Abstract
Within the framework of economic development and strengthening of entrepreneurship, this research analyzes the accounting training of entrepreneurs, specifically those in the Km8 area of the Leónidas Plaza parish, during the year 2025. This analysis stems from the problem in the sector, where the majority lack basic accounting knowledge that would allow them to adequately manage financial resources, record economic transactions, and ensure the sustainability of their businesses. The objective of this study is to describe methodological strategies for accounting training, identifying the existing level of training and specifying the most appropriate strategies to strengthen entrepreneurs' accounting skills, facilitating access to formal financing opportunities and improving administrative efficiency. Methodologically, the research is descriptive, with a quantitative approach. A structured survey was applied, allowing for the collection of objective and quantifiable data, which will be processed using Microsoft Excel statistical software. The results show that entrepreneurs demonstrate an understanding of basic concepts such as income and expenses, but experience difficulties in determining profits. Therefore, it is concluded that it is necessary to implement active, practical and contextualized methodological strategies that strengthen economic decision-making and thus improve the sustainability of local businesses.
