Abstract

The study was conducted within the framework of research on state reform and modernization, with the central purpose of analyzing the role of administrative simplification in improving the quality of public services in local governments. It was a basic research study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational in nature. The population consisted of users of a provincial municipality, and the sample consisted of 300 of them. Data were collected using a survey technique, with structured questionnaires: one with 11 items to measure administrative simplification and another with 9 items to evaluate citizen services. The information was processed using SPSS statistical software version 25. The findings showed that administrative simplification has a direct and significant relationship with citizen services, with a Spearman correlation coefficient (Rho) of 0.640 and a p-value of 0.000, confirming the hypothesis and concluding that the relationship between the two variables is positive.
