Korelacijska analiza ESG ocjene i pokazatelja profitabilnosti i investiranja u Republici Hrvatskoj

Abstract

Predmet ovoga rada je analiza povezanosti ESG ocjene kao mjere uspješnosti u upravljanju značajnim ESG pitanjima s pokazateljima profitabilnosti kao mjerilima uspješnosti poslovanja s aspekta određenih računovodstvenih kategorija te s pokazateljima investiranja kojima se uspješnost poslovanja mjeri temeljem tržišnih vrijednosti, sa svrhom da se utvrdi je li dobro upravljanje značajnim ESG pitanjima doista povezano s većom profitabilnosti poslovanja, odnosno većom atraktivnosti dionica poduzeća, kako je predviđeno Direktivom o korporativnom izvještavanju o održivosti (CSRD). Na uzorku od devet hrvatskih nefinancijskih kotirajućih društava iz različitih djelatnosti za promatrano razdoblje od 2020. do 2023. godine provedene su dvije korelacijske analize, a korištene varijable uključuju Bloomberg ESG ocjenu, neto rentabilnost imovine kao izabranog pokazatelja profitabilnosti te ukupnu rentabilnost dionice kao izabranog pokazatelja investiranja. Rezultati analize ukazali su na izostanak statistički značajne veze između ESG ocjene i neto rentabilnosti imovine, odnosno ukupne rentabilnosti dionice, što znači da nije otkrivena značajna povezanost između uspješnosti u upravljanju značajnim ESG pitanjima i profitabilnosti, odnosno atraktivnosti dionica dioničkih društava u Republici Hrvatskoj. Navedeno implicira da praksa održivosti u Hrvatskoj još nije dovoljno razvijena da bi se njezine prednosti odrazile na druge poslovne segmente u kratkom roku.
