CROBEXturist indeks predviđa promjene na hrvatskom turističkom tržištu

Abstract

Analizom povezanosti CROBEXturist indeksa i broja dolazaka turista u Hrvatskoj ispituje se potencijal financijskih tržišta za predviđanje turističke sezone u Hrvatskoj. Sukladno tome, postavljene su dvije hipoteze. Prva, postoji statistički značajna pozitivna korelacija između kretanja CROBEXturist indeksa i broja turističkih dolazaka u Hrvatskoj i druga, CROBEXturist jest značajni prediktor turističke sezone u narednom razdoblju od najviše godine dana u Hrvatskoj. Promatrano je razdoblje od siječnja 2014. do studenog 2024. godine, na način da se mjesečni broj dolazaka uspoređuje s mjesečnim srednjim vrijednostima CROBEXturist indeksa. Pearsonovim koeficijentom korelacije izmjerena je pozitivna i statistički značajna korelacija između analiziranih varijabli. Potom je korištena Box-Jenkins metodologija u modeliranju odnosa analiziranih varijabli. Procijenjeni su različiti ARIMAX, SARIMA i SARIMAX modeli od kojih se, uzimajući u obzir najmanju prognostičku pogrešku, najreprezentativnijim pokazao SARIMAX model s pomakom od pet mjeseci kao egzogenom varijablom. Empirijska potvrda prediktivne moći CROBEXturist indeksa s vremenskim pomakom od pet mjeseci ključni je znanstveni doprinos rada i omogućuje razumijevanje povezanosti financijskih tržišta i realnog sektora u Hrvatskoj. Istraživanjem je potvrđeno da investitori vrlo dobro predviđaju kretanja na turističkom tržištu te da je tržište kapitala pouzdan izvor signala za turističke tvrtke o nadolazećim trendovima na turističkom tržištu. Empirijskim istraživanjem potvrđene su obje postavljene hipoteze.
