Abstract

Change in the constitution of Canada could have direct impact on many federal and provincial institutions that establish agricultural policy in Canada. This paper discusses the potential impact of the separation of Quebec on these institutions, which in turn could have an impact upon agricultural incomes. The most important impact within Quebec could come from changes in Canadian Dairy Policy. Outside Quebec the agricultural lobby would become more free trade oriented.
