Abstract

Modern business management methods are evolving in the direction of increasing effectiveness but should also include the challenges set by Europe 2020 strategy. Companies are expected to form networks that enable access to knowledge and information, and most of all stimulate the diffusion of innovations, which increase the effectiveness of their operations. It is therefore essential to discuss cooperation and competitiveness as forms of increasing of growth potential of companies. Generally speaking businesses should strengthen their relations within networks, accumulate knowledge and information, which transform into competitive advantage and value creation. New directions in crafting of growth potential are necessary to embrace the concept of sustainable growth.
