Realidad aumentada: una incorporación efectiva a los medios cartográficos militares

Abstract

El artículo busca exponer la aplicación de la realidad aumentada en los sistemas de cartografía empleados por el Ejército Nacional, a partir del reconocimiento del territorio nacional y su adaptación a una visualización 3D. Para ello, el documento se divide en tres segmentos. El primero se relaciona con las tecnologías actuales manejadas por las Fuerzas Militares durante sus campanas en las diferentes regiones colombianas, destacando el atraso evidente a la hora de reconocer el territorio; el segundo se refiere a una especificación de las características propias de la realidad aumentada y algunos empleos destacados alrededor del mundo; y el tercero tiene que ver con una exposición del proceso de investigación y su importancia para la institución.
