La investigación como actividad del ser humano

Abstract

Investigar es una actividad inherente al ser humano, que le ha garantizado la supervivencia desde épocas remotas. En su afán de descubrir, hombres y mujeres de todas las épocas y culturas han empleado la investigación para resolver inquietudes surgidas en su entorno, casi siempre con el fin de contribuir a un mundo mejor. De esta manera, avanzamos en dar explicaciones a sucesos que nuestros antepasados atribuían sin mayores pretensiones a los poderes mágicos de seres sobrenaturales, y comenzamos a emplear un método. Sin embargo, avanzar en procesos de investigación científica requiere un paso mayor: el obtener conocimientos de este nivel requiere de un proceso sistemático, organizado y verificable, llevado a cabo por un investigador en su afán de hacer ciencia.
