Hacia un nuevo modelo de medición que refleje las capacidades investigativas de los colombianos

Abstract

El sistema de educación superior en Colombia, una de las principales econo-mías de América Latina y el Caribe, ha mostrado cambios importantes en los últimos anos, relacionados con la búsqueda permanente del mejoramiento de la calidad y el fomento a la formación de investigadores. Esto último ha favorecido el desarrollo de la investigación, convirtiéndola en una actividad fundamental en las instituciones universitarias. Este nuevo escenario académico ha sido posible gracias a la creación del Sis-tema Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, así como a la aprobación de la Ley 30 de 1992, que reformó la educación superior. Ambos eventos dieron lugar a la financiación de proyectos y a la formación de investigadores, facilitando la movilidad y, por ende, el intercambio cultural que tanto enriquecen a los grupos de investigación en Colombia.
