Relaciones económicas entre el Mercosur y China. El caso del comercio importador en el sector automotriz (2002-2020)

Abstract

Analizamos la relación comercial de Brasil y Argentina con las potencias (en particular, EE. UU. y China) en el sector automotriz. El objetivo es estudiar el avance del gigante asiático en la región a partir de la exportación de manufacturas y, con ello, aportar elementos para el estudio de los vínculos que teje este país con las burguesías sudamericanas. Para ello, relevamos las series de importación del siglo XXI para estas ramas, disponibles en sitios oficiales de cada país. Con el procesamiento estadístico, evaluamos el peso de las potencias en la importación sudamericana y los momentos de quiebre de la relación. Encontramos que, a partir de 2009, los productos chinos ganan posiciones en la región, redefiniendo la matriz del comercio sectorial.
