Efecto del acceso al programa Familias en Acción sobre la participación política de las mujeres en Colombia

Abstract

Este documento analiza el alcance de los programas sociales focalizados con transferencias condicionadas en la participación política femenina. Para ello hace un estudio de caso del programa Familias en Acción en Colombia entre los años 2007-2014, mediante estimaciones de una unión de cortes transversales y de un pseudo panel, ambos construidos con datos de LAPOP y del CEDE. Los resultados arrojan una relación significativa y positiva en la asistencia a algunas de las organizaciones civiles. Sobre la relación con las votaciones, es también positiva, pero solo significativa para las regionales. Adicionalmente, se discuten los posibles mecanismos que pueden explicar esta relación.
