Desarrollo rural e internacionalización mediante redes de Comercio Justo del café. Un estudio del caso

Abstract

Las desigualdades en el grado de desarrollo mundiales invalidan la utilidad de los paradigmas dominantesdel comercio internacional, y el sector agrícola resulta uno de los sectores más afectados. El ComercioJusto contribuye a alcanzar los objetivos de un desarrollo progresivo local bajo criterios de sostenibilidadsocial, medioambiental y económica. Así, el objetivo de este trabajo es investigar acerca de la contribucióndel Comercio Justo sobre el desarrollo local en zonas agrícolas productoras de café en países en vías dedesarrollo. La metodología utilizada es el estudio de caso de cuatro cooperativas de Comercio Justo. Secomprobó que todas cumplían los principios de Comercio Justo y que existían impactos a escala local en losámbitos económico, social y medioambiental.
