Institucionalizacao das manifestacoes da sociedade civil: das tipologias aos conceitos

Abstract

Esse trabalho se caracteriza por ser um artigo de investigacao científica que tem como objetivo principal identificar as principais tipologias utilizadas para se referir as organizacoes da sociedade civil e discutir seu uso no meio academico. Num primeiro momento, foram identificadas, por meio de revisao bibliográfica, tais expressoes (em portugues e ingles). Em sequencia, foram selecionados seis termos mais citados e quantificada estatisticamente a utilizacao de cada um, em banco de dados eletronico, entre os anos de 1990 e 2012. Por fim, discutiram-se a existencia ou nao de tendencia na uniformizacao dos termos, com base nos dados encontrados. Os resultados apontaram que as tipologias mais utilizadas em portugues foram: Organizacoes nao governamentais e Terceiro Setor e em ingles non profit organizations, non governmental organization e third sector. Tanto na literatura internacional, quanto nacional, há uma multiplicidade de termos que convivem entre si. ****** This work is characterized by being an article of scientific research that aims to identify the main types used to refer to the organizations of civil society and discuss its use in academia. At first, were identified through literature review, such expressions (in Portuguese and English). In sequence, we selected six most mentioned terms and statistically quantified using each one in an electronic database, between 1990 and 2012. Finally, we discuss the existence or absence of trend in standardization of terms, based on the data found. The results showed that the types most commonly used in Portuguese were: non-governmental organizations and the third sector and in English non profit organizations, non governmental organization and third sector. Both the international literature, and national, there are a multitude of terms that coexist with each other.
