El Mercado Laboral de Medellín: una aproximación teórica y empírica al funcionamiento del mercado y a la efectividad de las políticas de empleo

Abstract

Resumen:Mediante un modelo de oferta y demanda con ajustes parciales del mercado laboral, se hace una estimación de las elasticidades de la oferta y la demanda de trabajo para la ciudad de Medellín. El modelo permite evaluar el efecto sobre el empleo y los salarios de los cambios en la producción, en el costo de uso del capital y del componente exógeno en la oferta de la mano de obra. Los resultados son comparados con los encontrados por otros autores para las siete áreas metropolitanas en conjunto.Abstract:By means of a model of supply and demand with partial adjustments of the labor market, an estimation becomes of the elasticities of the supply and the demand of work for the city of Medellín. The model allows to evaluate the effect on the use and the wages of the changes in the production, in the cost of use of the capital and the exogenous component in the supply of the manual labor. The results are compared with the found ones by other authors for the seven metropolitan áreas altogether.
