Estabilidad de acuerdos comerciales internacionales en un escenario de dano ambiental: un enfoque de teoría de juegos

Abstract

Resumen En este artículo se analiza la estabilidad de acuerdos comerciales internacionales cuando los países introducen en su función de bienestar social una función de daño ambiental, generado por emisiones contaminantes causantes del calentamiento global. Mediante un modelo que considera un mundo de tres países, se utilizan herramientas de la Teoría de Juegos no Cooperativos para determinar la estabilidad de diferentes estructuras de acuerdos comerciales. Los resultados del modelo muestran que cuando los países consideran que el daño ambiental es bajo, solo es estable un acuerdo comercial global. Sin embargo, cuando los países consideran que el daño ambiental es alto, un acuerdo global ya no es estable; sólo es estable un acuerdo firmado entre dos países.
