El ahorro en Colombia 1970 - 1994

Abstract

“El ahorro es decisivo para mejorar las condiciones de vida de una sociedad. A mayor ahorro, mayor inversión y, por lo tanto, mayor crecimiento. Por ello, el comportamiento y los determinantes de la tasa de ahorro son temas económicos de gran relevancia. El ahorro puede desagregarse en tres componentes: el ahorro público, el ahorro privado y el ahorro externo. Los dos primeros conforman lo que se denomina ahorro nacional. El ahorro externo es equivalente al déficit en la cuenta corriente (refleja lo que el resto del mundo le presta a un país) y puede constituir temporalmente una fu ente importante de ahorro.”
