Lecciones de la crisis financiera internacional

Abstract

Este artículo presenta un análisis de los principales hechos que han caracterizado laevolución de la crisis financiera internacional entre 2008-2009. Se resalta el proceso denacionalización y reforma del sistema financiero en los Estados Unidos, el cumplimientode los acuerdos de Basilea y los fallos de la regulación, el papel de las calificadoras deriesgo y las acciones de política que se han venido aplicando en el período postcrisis. Apartir de lo anterior, el objetivo de este análisis permite abrir la discusión acerca de lasperspectivas de los procesos de regulación financiera en el ámbito mundial, senalando elcamino que puede enfrentar la nueva arquitectura financiera internacional en donde sehace prioritaria la creación de incentivos que garanticen adecuados manejos de liquidezque minimicen los niveles de riesgo y sirvan para prevenir crisis futuras.
